Shell has zeroed in on a development concept for its Crux gas field off Western Australia, which will be tied in to its Prelude floating liquefied natural gas vessel.
The Anglo-Dutch supermajor was immersed in a concept select study last year for Crux, which contains an estimated 2.2 trillion cubic feet of gas and 74 million barrels of condensate.
Two concepts were compared — a floating production, storage and offloading vessel, and a fixed platform.
