Sugar Land, Texas-based Fluor Offshore Solutions (Fos), located near Houston, is already bidding for at least one job off West Africa, according to Fos vice president Skip Alvarado.
“A piece of our strategy was to leverage the yard in Tampico, beyond Mexico, and we’ve done that,” said Alvarado.
The yard is part of the 25-year-old Mexican joint venture Ica Fluor, which is heavily involved in major downstream, petrochemicals, and other civil construction projects in Mexico.
