FMC's proprietary HC-20 high capacity subsea wellhead system can perform at temperatures as high as 176 degrees Celsius and a pressure of 20,000 psi.
It also has enhanced load-bearing capacity in excess of 9 million pounds for drilling deeper wells with heavier casing strings. The independent load distribution mechanism supports up to 4 million pounds of combined casing string capacity, plus full 20,000 psi blowout preventer test pressure, FMC said.
