Diender is a reissued E&P licence replacing the old Tamna block that expired in 2014 and which represents the country’s unsung success story.
The Gadiage field, which now comes under the Diender licence, has pumped about 12 billion cubic feet of gas for local industry the since 2002. However, its depleted reserves now need rebuilding and Fortesa chief executive Rogers Beall plans to achieve that with a two-rig drilling programme, already under way.
