Four global engineering giants are competing in a bidding contest to carry out early engineering work on the two mighty floating production, storage and offloading vessels that will anchor the Browse liquefied natural gas project in Australia.

Fluor, KBR, TechnipFMC and Wood Group are understood to be the four parties invited by project operator Woodside Petroleum to submit bids soon for the pre-front end engineering and design contract, also referred to as concept definition.
