A quartet of contractors is set to submit technical bids within weeks to supply a major floating production, storage and offloading vessel for Eni’s deep-water ZabaZaba-Etan project in OPL 245 off Nigeria.
Even though Eni and its partner Shell still have to overcome legal issues related to the $1.1 billion they paid to acquire OPL 245 from Malabu Oil & Gas, the project is said to be building momentum, with one source describing it as having made “very active progress in the last two-to-three months”.
