Oil Search is the only company that has interests, either operated or non-operated, in all three of PNG’s plays — the Highlands, the Western Province, and the Gulf onshore and offshore area.
Combined, these three plays contain 11 trillion cubic feet of undeveloped discovered gas, according to Oil Search, which says there is enough gas to deliver at least two liquefied natural gas trains and a third train “with modest exploration/appraisal success in current drilling programmes”.
