The jack-up West Courageous started mobilising from Malaysia last month after finishing a 14-month contract with US independent Hess. The unit is expected to arrive at the beginning of July to start its six-year contract. It was chartered for a dayrate of $155,500 until May 2021.
The three other jack-ups that were part of the $1.8 billion contract signed with Seadrill are already operating for Pemex.
