By the end of this year two one-pump stations are due to be inst-alled in 110 metres of water as part of the 100 million barrel Mutineer/Exeter field development. This is the first offshore scheme to be undertaken by Santos as operator.
The pumps will be 1.2 megawatt units. In what Santos subsea systems coordinator Dilip Ghosh describes as “innovative artificial lift techniques”, the pumps will be combined for the first time with downhole electric submersible pumps (ESPs).
