Toronto-listed Frontera Energy has restarted production in Peru’s Block 192 following the completion of pipeline repairs by state-run Petroperu.
Production from the block is expected to ramp up to over 9000 barrels per day, the company said, although current output is at 2910 bpd.
Output from Block 192 had been shut on 1 July as local residents involved in a community dispute reportedly blocked access to the area following pipeline repairs.
