Canadian independent Frontera Energy has postponed drilling of a key exploration well in Colombia to next year, writes Fabio Palmigiani.
Frontera has deferred drilling of the Cocodrilo wildcat to 2020 after it was awarded new acreage in the Coralillo field in the Guatiquia block in the Llanos basin.
The company plans to carry out development drilling in Coralillo this year before progressing to the Cocodrilo structure, which will target new reserves in the south-western portion of the Guatiquia contract.
