The consortium is preparing to double its throughput capacity by the end of 2015.

The Kropotkin job is managed by Velesstroy, a Russian company owned by Cyprus-registered Waveform Investment.

Velesstroy has not revealed the ultimate shareholders of Waveform, but reports in Moscow suggest they include executives from Russia’s state-owned oil pipeline monopoly Transneft.

According to Velesstroy director for Caspian Pipeline projects Matko Novak, the company started operations at the Kropotkin station in July after a contract award in May this year.
