Under Obama’s proposals, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) would get $175.1 million for the year, an increase of $4.1 million from the previous year.
The funds would go towards managing oil and gas development, renewable energy and mineral resources on the US outer continental shelf, BOEM said.
The agency handles the five-year outer continental shelf oil and gas programme, exploration and development plans and environmental analysis and studies.
