The company will initially focus on recompletions and unconventional development in prolific shale formations such as the Eagle Ford, Haynesville and Bakken.
UpCurve is led by chief executive Denis Pone, credited with pioneering ConocoPhillips’ horizontal refracturing programme. Most of the rest of the company’s management team is made up of ConocoPhillips veterans as well.
