Galp’s current output of just over 25,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day ranks it as a junior oil company, but under the guiding hand of chief executive Manuel Ferreira de Oliveria it is set to become one of the world’s major independents by 2020, with production expected to reach 300,000 boepd.
