The partners spudded the Bracuhy prospect in Block BM-S-24 on 2 July using the cylindrical semi-submersible rig Sevan Driller in 2251 metres of water.
The well, which is expected to take five months to drill, lies a few kilometres north-east of the Jupiter find and, if successful, could bring a significant upside to the area. The plan is to drill to a final depth of more than 5700 metres.
