Russian state controlled oil producer Gazprom Neft is planning to spud two exploration wells in 2020 and 2021 on its recently awarded Leskinsky block on East Siberia's Gydan Peninsula, writes Vladimir Afanasiev.

The 3000-square kilometre block stretches along the Yenisey Bay shore from the north to the north-east of the Gydan Peninsula, an area that lacks permanent connections to transportation infrastructure in the neighbouring Yamal-Nenets and Krasnoyarsk regions.
