Gazprom International, a subsidiary of Russian gas monopoly Gazprom, has signed a long-discussed production sharing agreement with Uzbekistan on the development of the Djel gas field, writes Vladimir Afanasiev.

The PSA, which has a 25-year term, calls for the drilling of ten development wells, a gas treatment and compression station and a 15-kilometre connector to the nearby trunk pipeline.

Gazprom International expects annual production of 150 million cubic metres of gas at the field between 2021 and 2024, with output rising to 300 MMcm afterwards.
