It is understood that GE has outbid rivals Dril-Quip, Cameron and FMC Technologies to win the contract.
According to a source, GE will supply the five wellhead systems plus one back-up package in three stages over the next few months.
First delivery is scheduled for late November 2010, when OGX will receive the first two parcels. The second and third packages, also featuring two wellhead systems each, will be delivered in January 2011 and March 2011, respectively.
