Speaking at Georgetown University in Washington, US last week, Lebanon’s Oil Minister Gebran Bassil said his country is advancing with a strategy to carve out areas from its exclusive economic zone in the Levant basin following a string of natural gas discoveries in Israel and Cyprus.
“We are determined to exercise our rights over the exclusive economic zone according to international legal rights and rules,” Bassil said.
