South America-focused GeoPark has unveiled plans to drill up to 14 wells this quarter in Colombia, Argentina and Brazil, writes Fabio Palmigiani.
The company intends to spud 11 of these wells in Block 34 in the prolific Llanos basin in Colombia, including one wildcat, three appraisals and seven development wells.
GeoPark recently started drilling the Tigui Sur 1 exploration well to search for hydrocarbons in the southern section of the Tigui field, following good results with the Tigui 1 probe, which is already producing about 1600 barrels per day of oil.
