After that the data will be sold to companies interested in the country's early 2006 licensing round.
The Odin Explorer vessel, which is under the control of Seabird Management, began gathering about 2500 kilometres of long-offset, non-exclusive data spanning all the country's offshore waters in June this year.
The data is intended to provide companies with improved information on continental shelf plays, intermediate water depth acreage in the Rio Muni basin, the deep-water basin to the south-west, and the Niger Delta basin north of Bioko Island.
