The Oil & Gas Authority (OGA) has vowed to take a tougher stance towards operators that fail to fulfil exploration commitments as the UK regulator published its new five-year corporate plan, writes Rob Watts.

The plan sets out an outline of the OGA’s priorities for 2019 to 2024.

These include boosting exploration and appraisal drilling, which has fallen in recent years to some of the lowest levels since the start of the country's North Sea petroleum industry in the 1960s.
