Ghana has failed so far to agree a protocol determining the demarcation of its maritime border with its eastern neighbour Togo after a third round of negotiations ended this week with parties unable to reach consensus, writes Barry Morgan.
Chief director at Ghana's Energy Ministry, Lawrence Asangongo Apaalse, who also acts as chief negotiator in the Technical Delegation Team managing the country's case in the long-running dispute, predicted that “brotherly relations” between the two countries would ensure that talks did not break down.
