Following a “competitive online data room bidding process” last year, the GNPC selected AGR and AGM, envisaging the first of several such joint operating companies in a bid to ensure that the government secures a larger direct stake in oil licences.
AGR Energy is an exploration unit within the AGR Group — a diversified oilfield and subsea services group that has carried out data room and reservoir studies on the country’s Jubilee, Odum and Tweneboa fields for clients including Tullow Oil and Midway Resources.
