Ghana is targeting additional oil and gas reserves as it steps up its drive to become a major long-term African oil producing nation, writes Barry Morgan.
Oil production currently tops 210,000 barrels per day, with gas output at 310 million cubic feet per day and, with 39 discoveries and 80 prospects, Ghana can look forward eventually to producing 1 million bpd, acccording to Energy Minister John Peter Amewu.
