Ghana Energy Minister John Peter Amewu will shortly launch a strategic legislative review spanning the entire upstream industry, tapping companies and stakeholders to determine how best to boost upstream activity and oil production from 214,000 barrels per day to 1 million bpd.
Amewu admitted that significant shortcomings in data availability and incentives had deterred majors from participating in Ghana's first formal offshore licensing round.
