GHD will tackle the design of the pipeline from Cape York to Gladstone and from there to gas markets in Queensland's south-east. The A$25 million ($19.2 million)FEED phase will also see work on regulatory and financial viability assessments get under way, as well as environmental and native title clearance processes.
AGL managing director Greg Martin said: "This work will facilitate the continued progress of the pipeline project and enable the APC consortium, in conjunction with the PNG Gas Project participants, to reach financial close on the pipeline in 2006."
