The DSV Ocean Winsertor, en route to Singapore, was boarded by at least 14 pirates armed with knives and antique pistols. A warning shot was fired and one of the crew was tied up.
The pirates then held the crew hostage, including divers and engineers, for more than one hour before making off with valuables including cash, laptop computers and mobile phones.
