US movie star Danny Glover, best known for his roles in the Lethal Weapon film series, recently took to the Ecuadoran jungle to lambast the oil giant over an alleged legacy of pollution by an acquired company.
Texaco operated the Aguarico 4 oilfield in a north-eastern Amazonian province. However, the area was hit by environmental pollution between 1964 and 1992, before Chevron bought the operator in 2001.
