The Ghana National Gas Company (GNGC), a subsidiary of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), aims shortly to increase production from 37 million cubic feet per day of gas to 60 MMcfd for the Volta River Authority, enabling generation of an additional 300 megawatts of power.
Phase-1 testing and commissioning for the GNGC-West African Pipeline Company (WAPCo) Interconnection Project linking Sanzule to the Takoradi Regulatory & Metering System at the VRA’s Aboadze plant began on 16 May and is almost complete, said GNGC director Ernest Bempah.
