Industry sources said Nexen is poring over bid documents for all three packages, with Netherlands-based Heerema and Spain’s Dragados Offshore in the running for all of them. News is expected to emerge this summer on the successful bidders.
The prize package is a 10,000-tonne process, utilities and quarters deck, though, to the surprise of some in the industry, key Asian yards declined to bid.
