Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil have handed a sale and purchase agreement (SPA) to Ocean LNG joint venture for all the liquefied natural gas from the partners' Golden Pass LNG facility in the US.
Ocean LNG will be responsible for the offtake and marketing of all the gas from the $10 billion-plus project to be built at Sabine Pass, Texas.
A binding SPA was struck between Ocean LNG and project owner Golden Pass Products, each of which is owned 70% by Qatar Petroleum and 30% by ExxonMobil, earlier this year.
