In late August the company completed its acquisition of 185,000 net acres from shale giant Devon Energy. The deal took Goodrich’s total leaseholdings up to 320,000 acres.
“It is very exciting for us,” says Goodrich president Robert Turnham.
“We see a lot of similarities with the Eagle Ford, even though the oil concentration (in the Mississippi play) is higher.”
Devon’s former partner, Sinopec, has remained in the play with Goodrich.
