The Chevron-led Gorgon joint venture in Australia is having to wait at least another month for the federal government to give final approval for construction of the fourth liquefied natural gas train.
The Department of the Environment was originally scheduled to make a decision on 13 February 2015, but has twice informed Chevron it needed more time.
The first extension concluded on 16 March 2015, but there was no sign of life from the department until 24 June when it again issued an extension until 29 July.
