Canadian independent Gran Tierra Energy has resumed full production from the onshore Suroriente and PUT-7 blocks in Colombia’s Putumayo region, after protesters temporarily halted output in the region.

Production from both Suroriente and PUT-7 was restored to 4500 barrels of oil equivalent per day, helping Gran Tierra to increase output in Colombia to 34,500 boepd.

Gran Tierra is also eyeing further upside in Suroriente, where the company holds a 52% operating stake.
