Mozambique’s abundance of gas has led the country to study how best to add value locally to this resource.
Gas from Sasol’s Pande-Temane fields is already used as feedstock for power plants, while a small industrial gas market is developing in Maputo that is operated by Matola Gas Company and includes a compressed natural gas business.
However, the grand plans will come from feeding gas into the country from the Rovuma basin.
