The 10,000 barrel-per-day Algar steam-assisted gravity drainage project was expected to begin commissioning on 
19 April and will include tie-in of three SAGD wells pads to the steam generation facility and oil processing plant.

Algar has a steam generation capacity of 30,000 bpd and was designed with an ­expansion capacity to 34,000 bpd.
