WOODSIDE Petroleum and joint venture partner Mitsui have sanctioned, as they had promised, the US$1.9 billion (A$2.56 billion) Greater Enfield deep-water oil project off Western Australia.
As previously stated, the project is an all-subsea affair that will see the Laverda Canyon, Norton-over-Laverda and Cimatti oil accumulations brought on stream in mid-2019.
The discoveries will be produced via a 31 kilometre subsea tie-back to the same joint venture’s Ngujima-Yin floating production, storage and offloading vessel, which is located on their Vincent oilfield.
