The FPSO has a nominal design capacity of 240,000 bpd but production last year is understood to have been less than half this, averaging about 115,000 bpd compared to a target of 150,000 bpd.
Sources said this shortfall has been largely caused by topsides issues related to pipework, heat exchangers, compression facilities plus subsea equipment issues.
Maintenance and replacement of critical topsides and subsea hardware is ongoing.
