The businessman set up Russneft in 2002 and has apparently chosen the May holidays in Russia to arrange his return, as the break gave him enough time to visit Ingushetia in the south of the country for personal reasons.
Gutseriyev, who is originally from Ingushetia, has reportedly visited relatives there, and also the grave of his son, who died in a car accident in 2007.
