India’s Hiranandani Group is in pole position to secure a contract from Kolkata Port Trust for a 4 million tonnes per annum floating, storage and regasification unit in the Bay of Bengal off India’s east coast.
Sources claimed Hiranandani Group subsidiary H-Energy was the sole bidder.
“They (H-Energy) are the only bidder. In all likelihood the Kolkata Port should award the FSRU contract to Hiranandani group soon,” one source said.
