US drilling contractor Helmerich & Payne (H&P) has signed an agreement with an undisclosed operator to deploy a super-spec rig to Argentina later this quarter.
The deal marks the first time H&P has contracted one of its super-spec FlexRigs to the South American nation, where interest in the Vaca Muerta shale has ticked up as drilling in the US has stagnated.
