US land driller Helmerich & Payne has signed a letter of intent with an unnamed operator to deploy a rig to Argentina's Vaca Muerta shale.
The super-specification FlexRig will be delivered from the US to Argentina, H&P said.
It is the driller's second contract in Argentina and is for a different operator than the first deal, which was announced in the first quarter of this year.
