The Bayan contract, said to be worth more than a billion ringgit ($320 million), will include mostly brownfield redevelopment work to boost oil and gas output.
Upstream understands the project execution involves seismic studies, drilling and refurbishment of wells and potentially the construction of one to two new platforms.
The contract is an extension from an alliance between Haliburton and Dialog D&P, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dialog Group, last unveiled in June to pursue opportunities in the redevelopment of mature oilfields in Malaysia.
