Halliburton’s cementing manager for the Gulf of Mexico Richard Vargo registered his disagreement with the flow through the shoe track and up the casing.
From the “few pieces of data we have”, he said Halliburton believes that gas and oil was “pushed up” the annulus, arguing that natural gas circulated with mud before casing was run and was “continually coalescing in wellbore” when the cement job began.
