Heavy-lift giant to deliver Ninian North topsides 'within two years'

The world’s largest heavy-lift vessel, Allseas’ Pioneering Spirit, is set to deliver the topsides of CNR International’s Ninian North platform for decommissioning at the Dales Voe facility in Shetland in under two years, following the award of a new contract to Veolia-Peterson, writes Rob Watts.

The Veolia-Peterson venture won the deal with the offshore heavy-lift and pipelay contractor, which was earlier awarded the engineering, preparation, removal and disposal (EPRD) contract by CNR International.
