Bidders can be local or foreign, or partnerships of the two. Pre-qualification documents can be obtained from IOOC's Tehran office until 27 September.
IOOC said bidders must have experience in designing, rebuilding and renovating offshore oil platforms, but did not provide further details.
Hendijan is in very shallow waters just beyond the southern tip of the so-called Abadan plain, which extends to an area north-west of Ahwaz and includes giant reservoirs such as Azadegan and Yadavaran.
