The massive replica of Shell’s Brent Bravo platform was made by retired oil worker Dave Reynolds, 51, from Southampton in the UK. It took him 15 years to complete.
“I’m really pleased it has been recognised but I think people think I’m a bit mad. They can’t believe the size of it,” he told Cuttings. “I can’t believe the interest it has created — I’ve even had calls from Australia.”
