Titan 2 is expected to work for about a month before it enters drydock for a month for inspections including a five-year survey, maintenance and upgrades.
The upgrades include improvements to the 50-bed crew quarters, according to Son Vann, vice president investor relations and planning for Hercules.
Vann declined to name the operator or job location for the Titan 2.
Able to operate in 280 feet of water, the Titan 2, presently stacked in Limbe, Cameroon, is the biggest liftboat in the Hercules fleet, which consists of more than 60 vessels.
